Kevin De Bruyne - 2018/19 performances

He is hitting that point where when he was coming back from injury we eased him into it and his performances improved, to the point that he looked like his regular self.

Then once he hit that point, he started playing basically every game, and now his form is dipping because he is being rushed to play every game.

Pep needs to rest him for Foden, or else you get the worst of Kevin and Foden gets no chances vs the best of Kevin (less games) and an improving Foden.

Seems to be taking too many touches as if unsure of himself. Played a couple of first time balls second half which were back to what he is capable of. Still way below where we need him.

Thought the ball he played out to Bernie in the second half which led to Raz putting it wide was Kev back to his best; he hasn't been playing like that over the past couple of weeks so hopefully confidence and form coming back

Still a bit rusty but I think that was probably his best performance since returning from injury. Some of his passing was back to what we saw so often last season. To have him firing on all cylinders in the run-in would be a huge bonus and could see us over the line.

Watched first half again and mahrez was caught offside a couple of times where de bruyne took an extra touch that he wouldn’t normally take. It was unnecessary and maybe a sign he’s not comfortable with himself yet after giving it away so much recently. It was in stark contrast to the Shakhtar away game when he came back first time round and played some fantastic early balls to mahrez.
