I’m not sure Gundo was brought back to feature as much as he has through necessity. Gundo slipping in to some kind of coaching capacity was what was muted.
Hopefully our reliance on him next year is much diminished.

Gundogan's wages are not close to KDB. Also, based on this season alone , Gundogan level is much better than KDBs (that tells you all you need to know about KDB season).

I always defended KDB in the previous 2 seasons, but he clearly has dropped and can barely pass the ball or run. Legend and all, but time doesn't forgive football players, especially KDB type of skillset.

I would love if he goes to Liverpool or Arsenal actually, unlike people here. That would be the best he can do to make us more of a contender next year. He would be on huge wages, and doesn't have the ability to justify that anymore.

The highest level is Champions League clubs, and clubs challenging for the title in their leagues.

And let's face it, he can't cut it at those. Real Madrid possibly the only one that can afford him both in wages and in the squad.

People are being too reactive to his comments.

I honestly think he’ll end up at a top 6 premier league club
 
If KDB was a racecourse he’d be eating grass in a meadow and shagging the mare’s next year (equivalent of MLS).

THey are pretty much the same (Phil and Gundogan). But they are both at half KDB's wages, so my point still stands. Between KDB, Bernardo and Gundogan, I would keep Gundogan because his level has been the best (again mainly because the other 2 have been horrendous), because his wages are less than both of them and because he depends the least on his physicality.

That's hindsight. It means Gundogan came back and has been offered a higher salary as the player of the season last year. Kev did't get any offer.

KDB did not get an offer for a reason, he's finished.

He's had 9 years on elite wages and the last five on 350k plus bonuses, FFS he has not played for us for nothing.

His statement yesterday was crass and unnecessary, how the hell can you be bitter with what him and the club have achieved together.

Go out with grace and style, just like Spanish Dave and the Captain.

How? We chose to let him go, not the other way around, we can’t have our cake and eat it too.

It would destroy the legacy he’s built if he went to United, Liverpool or Arsenal, but if he opted for a team like Everton to stay in the north west for his kids then who are we to say that he can’t or shouldn’t?
