I will love him till the cows come home after, for a long time.
Never made any problems,just buckled down and did the business.
My nipper was 8/9 year old when he came,and witnessed what he did.
I had Colin as a nipper ,he had Kevin,with David thrown in too !!!

If we get anyone better in future years, we are going to be lucky beyond belief.

To be truthful there has only been 2 footballers who brought tears to my eyes, Kevin was one … at the leaving parade with his family. What a player. The other, and he’s getting some grief at the moment, is Grealish. Not for his football, but it’s the way he engages with fans, there’s something honest and genuine about that.

100% agree with your sentiments about Jack. One of the best Blues you'll ever know, from Baguley & Brooklands, is currently fighting a losing battle for his life. I've just been sent a video, sent to him from Jack, wishing him well and sending love to him and his family. No fanfare, no PR guff. Just a genuine bloke caring enough to do something kind for another genuine bloke.

My one hope for the coming season is that we get to see again the Jack of the treble season, back and firing us to another title.

Sorry Callum but for me Yaya changed our fortunes forever scoring against united in the 2011 semi and stoke final. Not only that beating united was a seismic shit of power that had Ferguson shaking in his shoes. Aguero's goal in 2012 was the moment old fergie knew it was the beginning of the end for him, and united.

Just watched that reel.
See, there are several things that emerge very, very clearly when you watch the whole load together, one after the other through the years. One is that, as you, say, the vast majority are from the edge of the area, or often well outside it. HIs shot is so clean, with so little backlift, that the keeper simply can't get to it. The second is that he never takes a touch when he doesn't have to. If he does have to, he will. But he decides in a split second if he can take a shot on the volley. I'm not sure that even Sergio was as good on that count. And finally, the third is that an astonishing proportion of his shots, from however far out, go right — exactly — into one or other corner. They are very rarely middled, except from very close in, when it doesn't matter.
Time waits for no man, and you can also see how even as recently as two years ago he was a yard faster. That's biology, and that's just how it is.
 
I'm glad the club was able to soothe the bitterness that Kevin had towards the decision to let him leave. Seems there has been a real easing in his mindset towards that decision in the last week or so.

The mural, the event after the game last Tuesday, the mosaic, the promise of the statue.

There's a noticeable and different tone to when he has spoken compared to in the weeks before. Even after the cup final he still sounded bitter at the situation and wouldn't rule out a Premier League move. Then after the events on Tuesday, he ruled that out completely

Agreed. It was the outpouring of love of the fans that has (at least publicly) softened his stance. There's that many statues outside the stadium you won't be able to move soon. Almost losing their meaning. Sergio, Vinny and David should have maybe been a trio.

I'm not happy how it's been handled and I'm sure he isn't too. Probably has bitterness and resentment towards some individuals, but is intelligent enough to not let that sour his overriding love of the club as a whole.

Yep the fans, that’s where the true love and respect came from. The ground being full an hour after the final whistle will have meant an awful lot
 
Well the Napoli chairman reckons he's had a video call with KDB (and his family) this morning, and he says that De Bruyne has already bought a villa in the Naples area ..... he also reckons De Bruyne will be back in Naples for final talks this week, even though he's contracted at City until the end of June.

So there you have it ..... if this guy is to be believed De Bruyne won't be going anywhere but Napoli.

He may have watched back some of his performances and realised why we can to the decision we did.
With a new club looking likely in Napoli, his mindset may be happier without any uncertainty of what's next.

The club and fans defo helped though, he done loads with City media team, plus as you say, the wall painting, his farewell game etc.
