Genuinely pleased for him. He could have taken the big pay day, and gone either to the States or Saudi. But that would have felt like something of a defeat. He still feels he's got something to give at the top level, so he's gone to a top club in a decent-level championship.
Now that everything's all lovey-dovey and we've made up (with the send-off that honoured him, too): what if Napoli win the CL? Gulp.

Kev feels he can still play at the top, I think he can, but not playing 3 games every week in the Premier League.
City will need somebody who can play 3 games a week and be 8 out 10 as well.

We love KDB and are forever in his debt for the magic and the game-changing moments, plus the silverware he won us, but sadly, it had to end. How hard would it have been to say to KDB, sorry, it's time up at City

That video shows just how subdued we are as a fan base and it's mirrored pretty much across the league.

Those Italian nutters will make him a god if he performs as well as we know he can, good luck Kev!
I don't get the fascination with wanting to be more fanatical like some Europeans. I'm very glad we're not like that.

That must have been awful for kdb, the long wait in the car just to secure a path into a building then he's been ushered through the crowd like there's a sniper targeting him.

If the crowd were more respectful, gave him some space and were able to behave he could have strolled out of the car, greeted the fans took a few pics with them signed a few things, potentially even had his family come along with him instead of that.

Whenever foreign players come to England they always comment on how people generally leave them alone outside of the pitch and how they appreciate that, always thought it was a little odd as they're photographed whenever they step out in public but when you see what they experience in Europe you realise it's true and they can have a little bit of personal space and normalcy once in a while.

Did we extract 10m to release him from his contract 9 days early?

Did we fuck. Because we have class.

Even if we wanted to we'd have zero leverage.

Napoli have no games in the next 9 days so if we demanded a fee they would just wait and sign him once he's out of contract.

Just a question: Why has the De Bruyne 2024/25 performance thread closed if he was a player for us in the 24/25 season?

Additionally, why is the Jack Grealish thread locked too (apologies it is irrelevant to this thread).

Just seems a bit odd to me...

Because their seasons are over. They’re not in the WCC squads. And KDB now plays for Napoli? Just a thought.

KDB will play for Napoli next season (25/26) the thread says 24/25. Plus surely the whole point is to discuss the performances of a player that season. Napoli aren't in the CWC so that means he'll only have played for City this season (25/26)
