Remember when tommy docherty rocked up at the swamp and all his Scottish players and English use to drink after the games at the “little B” in Sale in the 70.s and use to get involved in charades with ashely grimes in Sands in Stretford All proper piss heads like all young lads back in the day. When red nose took over he put paid to this and Paul gasgoine said he wouldn’t sign for the rags because of it.
 
I won a competition the summer Keegan came in. I got to meet the players and be in the team photo. It was the day Berkovic was announced so I got to see the shirt and scarf holding up press photos. Still got my picture with Dunney where his eyes are blood shot to high heavens. I was only about 14 but remember my dad saying he looked bladdered. Probably was. Tony Grant turned up about an hour late, supposedly hungover also.

Used to see Mark Kennedy in the Press club regularly. Weaver was in a couple of times too, no cocaine stories there in fairness though!
Met Heath, Quinn and Steve Bould in there on the lash too. Quinn is sound.
