Khaldoon End Of Season Interview Thread

A great and comprehensive interview, as is expected from Khaldoon and he was on point of everything. On the pitch, the season has indeed been disappointing and frustrating and we will look to get back on track on that aspect. But he clearly presented that the season has been a success off the pitch in terms of the fiscal aspect and the general advancement of the club. Every review source puts us as one of the top clubs in Europe in terms of revenue and influence. Another important thing he mentioned is the FFP and he once again intimated his disagreement with the whole thing. He also intimated the same last season but implied that sometimes in life and business for that matter you have to think clearly, objectively and focus on your goals and the bigger picture and that may mean taking a punch in the face once in a while. You take it and move on.

Glad that he also talked about Sorriano. That guy is good at his job man and the work he is doing is incredible not just at City but other affiliated clubs. Txiki on the other has a long way to go to convince me personally but what is clear is that there is going to be a lot of aggression in that transfer market and the guys are going to attack it with everything as they try to reshape the team and usher it into a new era.

The Marwood presentation and his views on the state of the youth system was also interesting and enlightening and it all makes for an exciting future. So a great and essential interview from Khaldoon as always to mark the end of the season.

Where's the Marwood presentation? Is that recent?

Not sure actually but Khaldoon talked about Marwood giving a presentation about the state of the youth system ( the youth system bit starts around 13.25 in the first part of the interview). Don't know exactly when he presented the slide to Khaldoon but it is interesting.

It's not fair to judge him on today's standards. Things were different back then. A toupee like that would hardly have been noticed. Presumably because people's vision was a lot worse back then, due to Thatcher's twin policies of starving the north, and mandatory pollution for all schoolchildren.

The arch cow Thatcher was the only reason we kept getting relegated back in the day.
