With Bayern supposedly doing likewise. I wonder if City have bothered to set the manager any targets with only one year left on his contract anyway.

Perhaps I'm being a bit harsh. I've said before that Khaldoon is a far more important person in Abu Dhabi than most of our supporters realise. I have great faith in him and the Sheikh to deliver what they and we want. I'm also pleased that he takes the time to speak to the fans, unlike many other high profile owners and chairmen. He's a class act and occasionally he's even said or hinted at something interesting.

But mostly he says things that are safe and pretty predictable.

Fucking hell, what do you expect him to say? What part of "Chairman promises quality signings" do people object to?

Listened to the chairmen this morning . He's a class act and like what he says . Wish he would talk more about the club . Because this guys a massive positive to Manchester City F.C .

Yes, that's totally what I said. Really. I didn't suggest we would be happy to waste a year, I simply said it's going to be a strange season as we're starting a rebuild with a lame duck manager.

If Khaldoon was happy with Pellegrini's performance it would have been very easy for him to say so. It would be very easy to extend his contract. It would have been even easier to not say he was disappointed with the season.

This manager set up against Barcelona with Milner and fucking Fernando in central midfield, I'm sure Khaldoon was as disappointed as the rest of us!

I reckon khaldoon has the odd look at the forums and if there was anything he would look in on it would be this thread.

Would he laugh at the bombast and insanity of a percentage of football fans, or feel exasperated that there is no vocabulary he can use which is simple enough to get through to all?

I'd say the former. A fucking "lame duck". You can't get ever communicate properly with a perception as simplistic and as jaundiced as that.

On the off chance you are looking in, Mr Chairman, most of us think this clown is an undercover United fan who pretends to be lovestruck by the previous manager.
