Newcastle are the great underachievers, a crown they robbed from MCFC, so I wouldn't begrudge them some silverware.

I don't know why that's quote is under my name - its not something ive written (the due diligence bit)...the bit about the Geordies helping to continue breaking the cartel is my bit though

What City are fighting for is not the abolition of FFP.
What we are fighting for is a fair application of the rules.
Although City didn't ask for FFP to be implemented, now that it is here and City just having managed to sneak in before the drawbridge was pulled up, we will be quite happy with the current situation as it is, whereby we can have all the benefits of it without having to be blamed for being part of the protectionist cartel that brought it in.
The problem is with acceptance.
Because City were the primary target of FFP and because City actually stand to benefit from it in the long term, the cartel are trying to move the goalposts as and when it suits them to try and punish us and hinder our progress.
That is where the problem is arising and that is the issue on which City will fight them.
I don't think City will ever attack the concept of FFP in the courts or seek to have it abolished.
What we will do is not let UEFA push us around until they get off our backs, which if we confront them robustly enough they will eventually have to do.

You just have to look at how often it's referred to as "oil money" to know it's racism. Still not clear how "oil money" is any different from all other forms of money, yet you never here anyone elses source of money referred to, seems more like pretty obvious dog whistle stuff. Unless they are somehow against the selling of oil, which seems unlikely given we all buy the stuff.
