Winning every year is exceptional. Falling off an absolute cliff after multiple windows of poor transfers and a season of mismanagement on the pitch is, but in the opposite manner. Glossing over it and saying "we go again next season" isn't the jolt that's required if we're to have a proper course correction. If it's all talk and no action, then it's a very slippery slope that leads to some very shaky ground like United and Chelsea a couple seasons ago.
Should we not go again next season then?

Even though I've long since got over the novelty of these set-piece interviews in the softest of contexts and find them unremittingly anodyne, I still like listening to Khaldoon. For one thing he's obviously an incredibly accomplished guy who speaks superbly while, for another, there's occasionally an interesting little comment that on its own seems relatively insignificant but betrays a wider strategic sense.

However, right now the outcome of the '115' case dwarfs everything else in importance and my view is that he shouldn't issue an end-of-season statement until he's able to include a meaningful comment on those proceedings. I'm assuming he won't have been able to in the interview that Chris Bailey is now trailing and, if that proves correct, I'll regard it as a bit of a waste of time.

Would be nice if he acknowledged how disappointing this season was and said don’t worry, we’ll spend enough to make sure that doesn’t happen again,
If the most disappointing season we have from this point forward is a 3rd place finish in the league I think we will be just fine. I think Pep's success with this club has warped our expectations a bit.

It’s going to be absolutely fuck all of any worth.
I’m sure he’ll beat the “this is not the time for panic” drum which is great and all but I really don’t think anyone should get their hopes up for explosive 115 stuff or any explanation of what exactly went wrong this year

what about the usual tour from Txiki, Soriano, Pep to UAE to visit Mansour.
recall it used to happen early June in most years, not sure now with CWC still coming up.

wonder if they give it a miss this time as nothing much to discuss or celebrate.

aka

"dont even get them front of my eyes,as they heard, when Khaldoon put his phone on speaker inn the boardroom"
