Khaldoon's End of Season Review 2025

The fan protests did have an impact on Sheikh Mansour and Khaldoon. They don’t want to see and hear about that, along with the seeing 1000’s of empty seats at the start of the matches when the fans were protesting.

I’m 100% sure Khaldoon is a man of his word and he will have instructed Soriano and Danny Wilson to work with City Matters on behalf of the fans.

Hopefully we will see some more tangible evidence of that before the new season starts and throughout next season?

I think the North stand will see big changes in seating arrangements
and pricing from what was originally proposed by the directors. It could, could become the home end we all wanted it to be?
It looks like you're a little more positive on the ticketing issue jrb given your 2 latest posts on here?

The club want to neutralise opposition through City Matters, which will only be representative if 1894, MCFC Food Bank and Trade Union Blues are included in negotiations.
Possibly - but my experience is that quite a few impressive successful business and professional people were encouraged to apply. People, some will know, who would kowtow to nobody if they thought something was clearly wrong, service/"experience" standards were poor, improvement was needed, and make suitable, sensible suggestions. People who really knew their onions, were articulate and would express those concerns without fear.
I read 2 such "applications" and thought wow - this person is exactly what is needed. Surprse surprise - they didn't even make the watered down touchy feely, suggestible, heart in the right place but easily manipulated and not appropriate, short list that the Club whittled it down to. A pointless exercise in tick boxery imo.

I wouldn't be. Yet. Words are easy.

Mansour can tell Khaldoon to tell Soriano to sort it, and I think we can trust them both to do that, but Soriano can easily tell Khaldoon it's being sorted with City Matters and he wouldn't know any better. And the fans wouldn't know any better because it's all NDA'd.

It's vitally important 1894 and the rest keep the pressure on if Soriano doesn't deliver in a timely fashion. And I don't mean sending letters. I mean more matchday action that is visible to Mansour, if it is needed.

I'm fairly certain he has to have his questions over to Khaldoons team weeks before the interview, at which point he'll be told which topics he can mention, and which ones not to press on too much

I doubt Bailey is daft enough to put his gig at risk by looking to ask questions which could ruffle a few feathers
As you say not Mr Ks job.
However if the questions are general and not particular I wonder why the media generally has been allowed to infer lies for so long including expecting Pep to answer direct non football accusations.

I usually get the impression he is straight with fans. But that bullshit about the horrible shirt being a great success and popular with fans was very disappointing.
Just own it. It was dog shit. And actually if was such a great success how come it disappeared so quickly. Hardly saw one being worn in the crowd.
I nearly spit tea out when he said that but in fairness It's the biggest selling shirt of all time apparently, so I guess he's going off the sales figures.

From Khaldoon's words on the squad being in place before the CWC, I'm hoping that all of our deals are already done and will be announced in the first day or two of the window opening. I'd be surprised though, especially because of the outgoings that also need to happen

I'm taking Khaldoon, his comments, and his promises at face value. I think the fan protests stung him and Sheikh Mansour, and they both weren't happy seeing it. His comments allude to more concessions being made to the fans by the directors. We'll see if that pans out.

I suspect outgoings planned as well although appreciate just as difficult.

I like Khaldoon, but seeing him - a man who does trillion dollar deals with countries and it's leaders - talk about looking after fans who's financial contribution in ticket sales a very small part of the income, made me smile.

I like to think he said to the others - just get it sorted.

He will realise its impact on team performance. The drop from last season to this was noticeable, it has an impact on home results, which has a direct impact on winning, which has the biggest eventual impact on earnings of anything. Hopefully he gets that link before we have lost thousands more legacy fans

no chance pricing will stay top end and they dont want kids singing songs with swear words next to wannabes

did he mention how successful the half n half scarves are selling
Do the club still sell them in the shop? Haven't been in for about 8 years. I remember they did group scarves too when we had 5 teams in a group, wonder if they do an 8 x 12.5% one for the new format?

The directors can move on pricing on the new NS tier. As of yet no seat prices or seat configurations have been announced by the club.

The cheap adult and junior tickets for the last home game of the season could be an indicator of what the club might be thinking of doing. Maybe the directors were looking at the take up and interest in the ticket prices, and crunching the numbers? I don't think will be a one off. Only Mansour and Khaldoon would have authorised that drop in ticket prices, stung by the fan protests.

I'm hopeful more than confident something positive will happen on ticket prices next season.

Mansour and Khaldoon will just have told Soriano to fix it. Neither of them are investing one second of their time in approving matchday pricing.

Edit: I should have said imho ....
