I think that’s a bit harsh.

He was frozen out by Mancini and then was forced to go to a Villa side who were in total disarray. It was all downhill from there.

Football has always been rife for manager and player personality clashes and bullying and it will always be part and parcel of football
I've already said in this thread that Ireland was as talented a footballer we will ever see but he was mentally weak
When he got his big contract at City, he pretty much lost all motivation
Mancini may have been moody and temperamental, but he was tasked with changing a whole mentality of our club and he succeeded
It was Mourinho who said "You cannot make an omelette without cracking some eggs" and that's exactly what Mancini did

Its bang on the guy is deluded, on the pod cast talking about how he can still play at the top level yet in reality couldnt get a contract at league 1 bolton when he trialled there and they had no players.
