I presume your idea of 'patriotism' is the abstract BS that means nothing to me. Well, we are all entitled to our worldview. Mine is that abstract values have no place in national policy.
To draw a parallel, it's no use saying you love your wife, and telling the world that she's really beautiful while treating her like shit. Real love is practical, not abstract.

I didn't say I didn't believe in it but I am also pragmatic enough to understand this will never happen.
A bit like a beauty contestants call for world peace, sounds nice but doesn't take account of where we are as people worldwide now.
