We’ve run on the pitch, en mass, whenever we’ve got promoted or won the league. So it’s a bit daft of us to moan about the odd fan who gets on every few games, isn’t it?

I’ve also just watched the first part of the Ederson documentary today…

There’s a kid (young goalkeeper) on the episode who said “I was in the stands and wanted Ederson’s shirt, and he told me to come on the pitch and get it”.

And at the very end of the first part, it shows a clip of another young kid running on the pitch to get Ederson shirt. Ederson was happy to oblige and the kid was absolutely buzzing.

For Ederson to do this, and the club to show these things, I don’t think the players or the club are arsed and don’t see much issue with this at all.

A life ban should be given to anyone going on the pitch, including kids and their parents begging for shirts, footballs or selfies, it’s getting out of hand now.

Nobody does a pitch invasion like we do but that said there’s a world of difference between spontaneously invading the pitch to celebrate a joyous moment and some jumped up little prick encouraged by his chavvy dad just trying to get a shirt to flog online.

Pitch invaders who try to have a go at players should be apprehended by stewards and placed in the middle of any stand housing the other team’s fans
