Want to take my son (currently 3) to an away match in London this season. I live in London.

What age did you start taking your kids to matches? Is it safe at that age?
Will he get bored after 10 minutes?

Thoughts?

I took my 4 year old to the Barnsley game on Saturday and he enjoyed it, took plenty of snacks to keep him quiet but he really enjoyed it and asked when he could go again, first time he's gotten excited about his season ticket!
I went with my brother who took his 3 year old, (and also posts on this board so will undoubtedly response, hi mrbelfry), I got the impression that his 3 year old was a bit bored, he was climbing the seats and kicking the fella's chair in front of him, came away saying he really enjoyed it though...

3 is abit too young mate. He will be crawling all over the place and on everyone else,
spilling drinks and spending half the time in the bogs and concourse.
Come to think of it most of my mates are like that at away games!!

yep took my 3 year old to Barnsley. He didn't really understand what was happening but he enjoyed the atmosphere and singing some of the songs. I'd take him again but I would definitely take shed loads of sweets and try and sit near the aisle so that the can go to the loo every 10 minutes and I'd spend time before hand making sure he was gonna behave!

My 22 year old is not much better!
