Kids at away matches

3 is abit too young mate. He will be crawling all over the place and on everyone else,
spilling drinks and spending half the time in the bogs and concourse.
Come to think of it most of my mates are like that at away games!!

Want to take my son (currently 3) to an away match in London this season. I live in London.

What age did you start taking your kids to matches? Is it safe at that age?
Will he get bored after 10 minutes?

Thoughts?
Just got my lad his first season ticket in the family stand, wolves will be his first game, i'm expecting the worst.......but every time i put a city shirt on he shouts are we going to city dad.....he's also only 3.

Nice to hear all these kids looking forward to going to see City.

My dad reminded me of the story of coming out of Maine Road and I had been badly behaved. A copper saw him shouting at me and came over, asking "Is he being naughty?" "My dad replied "Yes - and I've told him if he carries on I'll bring him back next week as a punishment!"

My lad was five when I started taking him to Maine Rd but he was a fucking nightmare. Wouldn't keep still, didn't like the noise etc. I bought him about £3 worth of penny chews to keep him quiet. The greedy little shit scoffed the lot in twenty minutes and threw up everywhere.

Really depends where you go, Blue dippers this year some chavs decided to scare my 8 year old big and hard they were. Well till one of the more "normal" fans spotted them and told them where to go

I wouldnt recomend taking kids to any away games not untill they are teenagers anyway. It just gets a bit rough... people pissing in sinks etc.

Who cares if they enjoy it?

Give them half a bottle of night nurse then rell your Mrs you have been in the park playing football all afternoon
