Kids at away matches

Who cares if they enjoy it?

Give them half a bottle of night nurse then rell your Mrs you have been in the park playing football all afternoon

Simples

A bottle of Calpol on the journey should do the trick,sleep-wise.
Especially if the away game is Notlob or Joke City, where the land of nod always beckons anyway.
It works for me everytime, although it is a less than ideal mixer for vodka.

As a teenager thats just been forced to move out the family stand, I would say thats too young. You see them coming in droves, half of them play there nintendo till halftime when they get excited about people winning a holiday, the moment the second half comes, so does the nintendo.

Not all kids are like this of course but ive seen a lot of bored kids at matches (sometimes I dont blame them like!)

The other important thing to remember though, is that buying an ST for my wife, makes it much easier to get permission to buy mine since she won't be left with all the kids most saturday afternoons

Took my little boy to the UEFA cup home game v Hamburg. He would have been around 2 and a half bang on. I think he was a bit scared at first as it was quite a loud night. But he has since been to Bolton and I think it was West Brom (Last 2 home games). And he loves it. Singing away all the songs etc.....Took him to the masters last weekend too he didnt seem to enjoy that as much and the later it became the more tired he was. My dads on about taking him Blackburn away Im not so sure its a good idea.

My lad was five when I started taking him to Maine Rd but he was a fucking nightmare. Wouldn't keep still, didn't like the noise etc. I bought him about £3 worth of penny chews to keep him quiet. The greedy little shit scoffed the lot in twenty minutes and threw up everywhere.

PMSL

Problem is he can't sit still. took him to the cinema the other week to watch Ice Age 3. Had a tiny bag of popcorn and chucked everywhere after an hour, luckily I caught most of it in my popcorn cup. We left in a hurry lol.

I might leave it a while

Had a season ticket in the family stand at the time. Right in the corner between the main stand and Platt la. Our seats were directly above the disabled supporters. My lad had been quiet for about ten minutes, which was very unusual. I glanced down and the little fucker had picked the crust off his pie and had put it on top of this blokes flat cap, who was sat in a wheelchair in front of him.
The days before camera phones else I'd have took a pic. He'd put a few of my dog ends in as well for good measure.
I never said a word and we sloped off 5 minutes before the end.

I wouldn't take a kid to an away, especially not somewhere like Blackburn which becomes just a glorified piss up. TBH I'd feel pretty bad if I found a kid sitting next to me at an away. I have to watch my mouth at home games as I sit with my dad, but aways are chances to let off abit of steam. I suppose places like Fulham or Hull wouldn't be to bad, family clubs were the atmosphere won't be so rowdy.
