A lad I know come on our coach to the semi, took his 4 year old daughter, not only was she awake all the way there and through the game, but also all the way back, god knows what shes running on !!

I've been having the same dilema mate although my lad doesn't have a season ticket yet. On the Wembely site it says anyone must have a vaild match ticket. No age restrictions and it stipulates carry-ins and knee sitters. You may get him in but you might not. It's a toughie.

How olds your lad ??

6 but he's a shortie so looks younger. I've carried him into Eastlands recently with no issues.

If I'm honest I'd say 4 is way too young for football. My 4 year old wouldn't have a clue what was going on.

I tend to agree, under 5s are unlikely to retain anything other than a sketchy memory of the day in the future. My earliest football memory of any kind is watching the 1961 Cup Final on TV as a 6 year old, nothing before that has stuck.

My earliest memory of watching football was everton against someone as my dad was an evertonian, i was about 5 but i think your son will remember it if you take him as its such a big occasion. Even if he doesnt you can show him photos or whatever when hes older.
First ever football match i was 7 and i remember that like it was yesterday, even remember my dads mate buying me a mars bar at half time

I took my 7 year old to the semi and it was the best day of his life. I'm sure he'll remember it for the rest of his life but i don't take my 5 year old as he gets bored to easy. If you think he'll enjoy it then take him.

I hear what your saying DD but he does honestly love it no he probably wont remember it but he lives for football, Ive already got him playing for the local under 6 team. He understands it quite well for his age and he loves going to home games to the extent that if its a night game or a weekend when his mum has him he ends up kicking off if hes not supposed to be coming. Im teaching him well.

you will be fine, the turnstiles can easily fit 2 or 3 adults in one turn - loads jibbed in last sat, only had one steward covering all 4.

we all had tickets but it wouldn't have been a problem to get in, it seemed too easy!

I was very surprised at the turnstiles last week, thought they would have been more like the full height ones rather than the old style size. There seemed to be people checking bags, taking plastic bottles etc just inside, but if a few friends go in first and block the view, anyone can nip over the 'stile.....

Loads of police and stewards watching everyone from inside at my entrance (K). I thought that someone could sneak in as I was going through by realised it was impossible when I saw loads standing watching (and frisking everyone, not just the odd one or two idiots).

Maybe I was just at a high security entrance or something but unless they relaxed it later on it would have been impossible to sneak in

Just phoned the FA on 02077454545 as I wanted to take my 3/4 year old grandaughter to the cup final on Saturday. I was informed that 'everyone' has to have a ticket. So no children can be carried through the turnstile.
