My mrs is a teacher and has to teach The Romans, The Egyptians and history of England etc, but without ever mentioning Roman gods, Egyptian fucking Pharos or the Church of England. The media is state run and Israel doesn't stand a chance. You may as well look to US war films from the 40's pointing out that Hitker got unemployment down.
And Israel sets itself out as the home of the Chosen Ones and thus, every fuck up it continues to make reflects upon Jews sadly. But as there is not persecution of Hindus, Buddhists or Christians in much of the Middle East then it is fairly simple to work out why there are no Synagogues in Doha.

Relations between UAE/Qatar and Israel actually aren't that bad unofficially. Saudi is probably a better example of intolerance towards other religions. They don't allow the open practice of any other faith and have the death penalty for apostasy..

I agree. We lived in the Middle East in the late 70's to the mid 80's and it was a wonderful place to live.

Someone who has a desire to kill all non-Muslims has genocidal tendencies. Not particularly a "genocide" as that word means a specific thing. More like various fascist Islamic factions hate Christians and will kill them if the opportunity arises. If anything it's a Christian diaspora as most of the Christians of the affected regions have fled; it's your bog standard religious hatred rather than any organised genocide.
Basically they aren't getting killed specifically because they're Christian but specifically because they are of another religion.

Agreed but it changes the word by definition. It was just a small semantic argument rather than anything else. There's power in words and in using the correct ones. Christians are being slaughtered and forced to leave their family homes in terror. That's an accurate representation of the situation as I understand it. Genocide conveys an organised and targeted campaign which as you point out, it isn't. The Nazis on the other hand had a specific and targeted campaign against the Jewish rather than just the non-Aryan.
If you overexaggerate then you leave your opponents the ability to criticise the wordage rather than the point. If you underwhelm the problem then you aren't doing service to the people facing it nor their campaign to fix it. Just a small corrective point I sometimes make
not a big step from families being ''randomly'' persecuted for their faith to families fleeing their homes/ towns/ countries in fear to kristallnacht to the absolute organised mass murder of those that disagree with your religious and/or political ideas
