Sorry if this topic has been brought up before, but i mentioned it in another post and thought i owuld start a new topic to get peoples thoughts - we have seen Robbie muhc more now and can now form a better opinion.

Kinkladze > Robbie - any day of the week.

Kinkladze impacted games so much more. Lets also not forget that Kinky was part of a poor team, a relegation team, not just one division drop but two.

Imagine Kinky in the City side today, he would make much more impact than Robbie does. I am sad to say this but Robbie, whilst technically world class, he is not performing aswell as most would hope. In a side of world class players, made of up of world class defenders to support the flair players, i have no doubt that Robbie would shine and be the world star he could be. Sadly not in this City tema though. He is a passenger far too often.

And for those who say, 'Robbie only needs one chance for a bit of magic', well how many moments of magic per game do we need. Is he world class if he does a piece of magic once every six games? If Zab shot every time he got the ball, for six full games, do you think he would score an amazing goal....quite possibly yes.....does that make him a world class FLAIR exiciting player? Of course not. Dont get me wrong, i think Zab is fantastic and does the job that he is supposed to do very well.

Rose-tinted specs. Kinkladze scored very few goals from open play, and did Not influence the games. He had 2 or 3 magical moments in games, but for the most part he was anonymous, and was one of the major factors why we were relegated twice with him in the team

Rose tinted specs? Yeah quite possibly. But i remember a bigger buzz around the place when Kinky was on the ball.

Do you not think the fans of today have rose tinted specs on for Robbie?

Blasphemy !!!!!!!!!!

I think if you put Robinho in that 90's team and Kinky in the current team it would be a close call

then Kinkladze = Robbie :)

Kinkladze was a fantastic player who maybe was world class every five matches or so. Robinho needs to up his game as people will soon be looking further than his birth Country for excuses for his poor performances.
