Kinkladze

Kinky would walk in to the team now, he could play just off the front man. I also think he would suit the preimer league even more so then he did in 96

Ha Ha Robinho and Superman better than Kinkladze bet your not much older than 20 at a push and if you are can you please explain why you think the said players are better than Gio.

I think you should watch You Tube my friend

KINKLADZE LEGEND

Would displace anybody in our current team. Including ireland or robinho. Absolute genius whose love for city was his own downfall.

Had to comment on this. Kinkladze was phenomenal, best player in the team by a mile, surrounded by absolute shite. Ball at his feet he was a genius who was at a higher level than everyone around him, technique off the scale. Turning up to watch matches he was the only bright spark in games. Under Royle he was treated badly, not appreciated and not Royle's type of player. One man doesnt make the team and he couldnt do a thing to prevent relegation as Royle didnt with 15 games to save us. Anyone that says he didnt care should get a video of Stoke 5-2 and see how he performed that day when we were relegated.

There is also book out about him which talks about why he left and he was basically forced out and made to feel unwanted. It also talks about his time at Ajax and why he striggled. Basically he was bought to have the team built around him, which would play football and he would be the playmaker, but shortly after the manager who bought and wanted him was sacked, a new man was brought in and he never got his chance.

Kinkladze was a genuine article footballing genius who would have walked into todays team. This season Ireland has been outstanding but Kinkladze would have been better if he played with the quality Ireland is surrounded by, and given the freedom Ireland has.

He had pace, technique and was a genuine world class talent, those that envied Royle approach should just take a look up the road and see how the man did with Oldham this season, HE got us relegated by not playing Gio week in week out.

If Kinky was in the team today people would be whingeing about him being too lightweight and not tracking back. Cos he played years back people get sentimental and try to make out that he's something he wasn't. Kinky was great and at times a delight to watch, a bit of hope for us in truly depressing times, but let's get real and not kid ourselves by making out he's better than he actually was

went missing too often, epecially away from home .i remember joe royle putting him on the wing away at port vale i think it was.the bloke sulked and didn,t even try and had to be hauled off ,this was towards the end of that horrid 97.98 season when we really needed people to pull their fingers out. yes he was brilliant in flashes (,that southampton goal how it never got voted goal of the season i will never know).but at that time he was not what we needed.

You could be talking about Robinho in that post

Kinky was magical, but he shone because of the tripe he was playing with, and against for that matter.

he wouldnt walk into this team at all! theres a big diffrence in now and when he was with us.

ajax bought him and he couldnt even get into their reserve team. i absolutley love the guy and will never forget what he gave us fans, he was amazing, but only at lower level and he would not get near our first 11.
