Kippax

Used to sit on the barrier nearer to the north stand side with me mate and me dad behind us.
As we got older moved along till we stood above the tunnel near away fans.
Always remember everyone sitting down in protest against swales.
Met some great mates and still mates with them now.
Great days loved the place.
To be honest going to football these days is shit compared to then

Felt like I grew-up on the Kippax looking back.

So many memories - eg Middlesboro in the 76 League Cup semi 2nd leg was one not so much because we were brilliant (walloped them 4-0 after a 0-1 1st leg and we were off for what we (wrongly) assumed would be a regular trek to the twin towers) - but because the Kippax that night was absolutely full to bursting and then some. The only time I remember genuinely struggling to breathe at times such was the intensity of the press, bobbing along like a boat on a human blue sea. No idea what the official figures were but I think it may have been one of the Chairman's specials!
