My friend caps 4k netflix with this and a lossless capture card, the results are very good.

Does the fire tv work with bog standard hd TVs or is it 4K only,was reading some gobble de gook about HDMI 2.0 ports on the fire tv and 1.4 ports how do I know if my tv is compatible for fire tv?

Just got back on Sunday TC, drive flipping knackered me from France and ended up being a lazy git and playing football manager all day yesterday XD@aguerooooo makes the builds matey. He is on his hols though so afk a bit atm i think.

If finances are no problem then I'd take advantage of the sale, I usually don't recommend them as they usually cost about £130, £99 is pretty reasonably to be honest :)So if you was me you wouldn't get one? Sorry just haven't really got a clue with all this stuff

Just purchased a Firestick on the £19.99 Prime offer. Been meaning to get one, however, as it would be purely for Kodi (smart TV runs Netflix, Amazon, YT, Spotify), I've put it off.
How improved is the Kodi experience on the stick? I have Kodi on my laptop, however, I rarely use it as I can't be arsed dealing with the HDMI cable.
