I`m doing it for a girl at work to be fair mate, i did one for myslef a couple of months ago, using adbFire, and worked a charm, i tried one last week, it seemd to load, but when i tried to open Kodi, i got a message saying it had not loaded (obviosuly due to the new firestick update)

When i try to install, ES it`s trying to charge me for it, is that right? i thought it was a free App.

It is a free app mate. If the firestick is registered it will show up on the account as a purchase of £0.00.

Do you know where it's best to VPN to? I've got my own VPN provider that has servers in the US, Netherlands and Romania so I can choose any of these. (I am in the UK).

EDIT: And is VPN'ing essential? I mean, are you potentially in trouble watching something like Sky Sports? I would have thought it's illegal to broadcast, but not to watch?

legally grey area is my understanding, maybe obtaining a service without paying or whatever jargon they use. VPN i dont use so not my field of expertise, TCIB i believe recommends Nord and i would bow to is seriously high knowledge on these things.

some strteams are P2P so potentially compromise your IP and some streams will be geo fenced so a vpn would help there too.

Yes, that's what I use it for currently. It's just in the DNA install instructions, it says you should use a VPN and I don't know why and also VPN to where. Does DNA use a P2P to stream?
 
At a guess i would say its there as good practice. To be honest pal, if my ISP bubles me for the content I stream/DL or posses a dodgy stream emanating from a server outside the UK is the least of my worries
 
Amazon got the 4k Fire TV on offer again - down from £80 to £65, having that, and will be installing the bluemoon build on it as soon as it arrives :)

Might have to treat myself to one, I can get 10% off that as well.
Then I can give my wife back her firestick that I stole : )
