Koke?

There's not many players in European football who can combine ability and workrate as well as Koke does.

Koke's release clause is £48 million.

Spot on!

I think there's a lot of quality out there in the attacking midfield role and in Fernandinho and Silva we have energy and guile - Koke could be the perfect foil with his work rate and creativity from deep. He's also very good at set pieces and he'd be an apt replacement for Yaya, whose goals we could replace from wider areas by adding players like Bale/De Bruyne etc.

I think Koke would be a better fit than Pogba if you could only have one. Pogba can go on to be as good as Yaya and in an ideal world you sign the two of them. If it's just one though I think Koke would make the bigger impact for us. He is quality.
I'm inclined to agree.
Koke, Isco, Sterling, Garbutt,

If we could snare both Koke and Isco I would make a serious mess.

They're nothing special. Not good enough to push us back above Chelsea. We need Pogba and Bale.

Atletico want €70m for Koke

Atletico Madrid have put a €70 million (£50m) valuation on Koke. The midfielder is being closely monitored by Chelsea.

That's actually his buy-out clause.

If we're prepared to meet that, Atletico would have no say in the matter.

Buyout is 60m euro but I am not sure if it works exactly like that. The clubs may agree to transfer the player if the value of the buyout is met, but technically since the player has to buy the contract out himself he is paid by the buying club, which can be counted as income, which may incur taxes which increase the actual cost to the club.
