Koke?

Another one that needs to be consigned to the realms of fantasy football; why would he come here?

He plays for his boyhood club Atletico, annually reaching the latter stages of the Champions League, for one of the best young managers in the world. He earns good money and lives in one of the most spectacular cities in the world.

Disagree completely with all of the above. He plays for a club that punched above its weight last season and has subsequently been confined to its usual third place in a two horse race. A club that isn't in the latter stages of the CL.. and a club that nearly won it but didn't last season. If you are of the Arsenal and Liverpool mentality that they hand out trophies for 2nd-4th then fine. When we spend big this summer we will make our intentions clear and as a side we have more likelihood to consistently fight to win things than Atletico. Simeone is also only one of the best young managers in the world when the opposition play into his hands. His sides have no ambition to win the big games, they only do when they counter or score a free kick (see Mourinho). Koke would be an even better player with the shackles off.

I'd welcome Koke and either Isco or Pogba.

We certainly have the financial wherewithal to offer the kind of fees that would be commanded by Atletico, Real and Juventus but how much will we be able to spend without flouting the financial fair play regulations?

I suppose I could answer my own question by saying that a good percentage of transfer spending could be recouped by selling those players like Toure, Nasri and others that would top up funds from all usual sources such as sponsorship, advance season ticket sales, TV rights, UEFA payments, extra seating capacity and so on.

The transfer policy at the Eithad - i.e. who controls it - is something that Rafael Benitez, my preference as replacement at City - would need to get some sort of meaningful involvement as to the kind of players that he could blend into a real force to match the obviously superior Chelsea squad, as well as the likely strengthening of the squad at Old Trafford.

Managerially, we need to have a Manager/Coach with direct input to player targets. Klopp, as well as Benitez would demand this input, I'm certain. Another of our reported targets, Walter Mazzari, the former Napoli and Internazionale boss, may be more malleable in this matter.

Atletico are a bigger club than us (10 league titles) and are more likely to win the CL in the near future; even at the height of our investment we haven't been able to get past the second round. This summer they're gonna enjoy a cash injection to help them both decline bids and sign the marquee striker Simeone insisted on as part of his renewal; who knows, it might be Kun....

Simeone's achievements at Atletico have been phenomenal; are you bitter because he turned us down?

Atletico are a great club and yes Koke being a boyhood fan might very well decide to stay. But, stop degrading City. It seems to be a passion of yours lately and it's wearing thin!

Atletico has 10 titles with the last 2 separated by 20 year intervals. We've won 2 of the last 4 (counting this year) and were an equally successful club in the 60's 70's. We have a bigger global presence and will be spending big this summer (according to all the ITK's at least!). So, if they are a "bigger" club, I guess you might have to change your basis for measuring such?

Also, I might have missed it but where's the proof that Simeone was ever offered the job in the first place?

He has a habit of doing. Fucking did my mind in reading "Who knows it could be Kun?" Simply unnecessary. They arn't getting any cash injection as he is on about.

Simeone took Mandzukic for 25 million pounds and its his fault he din't work out. Mandzukic wasn't a poor striker mind you.

Based on his theory that Atletico have 10 league titles, we might as well "might" be losing Kun to Leeds United.

When did Simeone ever turn us down?

He is just on and on about assumptions in his on mind.

Boring rag **** ,fuckoff !

Pretty convinced that it is a done deal. My friend an Athletico ITK in Madrid called the Aguero transfer the March before it happened. He called this one at the end of November and he hasn't changed his mind.

Interesting if true, but I do have my doubts over whether he will leave Atleti.

He would boss the PL.
