Koke?

Koke going to Chelsea would be yet another nail in the coffin of the other clubs in the Premier league who have ambitions to be champions next season.

They (Chelsea) are actively seeking to, and 85% to 95% on the way to becoming, as strong as Bayern, Real Madrid and Barça. Apart from the need to replace John Terry in the next 12 months, all areas of defence, midfield and attack (the attack needs strengthening but they will probably pick up Icardi from Internazionale for circa €35m*) look pretty close to being too much for us, United and Arsenal.

That said, these Koke reports are nothing more than speculation. However, Chelsea are unquestionably fast to act in the transfer market and they waste little time geting their business done well ahead of the season - which starts in just 13.5 weeks time.

* Internazionale will probably use all of the proceeds to sign Paolo Dybala from Palermo

Completely disagree. Fabregas couldn't get in the Barca side and they were happy to let him go. He's decent domestically because the league isn't as strong as many like to think (see Europe for his true impact). Willian? Oscar? They've a lot of improving left to do. Where does Koke play? Matic and Koke with Fabregas further forward?

Add Pogba, Sterling and De Bruyne to our side... Ferny Pogba Silva Sterling De Bruyne Aguero v Matic Koke Hazard Fabregas Willian Costa.

They're definitely not pulling away.

Chelsea seem to be sniffing around for Koke seemingly wanting to spend £30m + Filipe Luis going in the opposite direction.
And yes the pun is intentional.

they'll be able to buy any player for a marginal net spend again when they somehow flip the ridiculously average Oscar for 40m plus, I'm sure.

Di Marzio saying Felipe Luis and Jose not getting on, wants to go back to Athletico....talks have commence and chelsea want both koke and Diego godin.

The only problem there mate is that we only have 3 of the 6 players currently at the club, where as Chelsea have 5 of the 6

They could easily add Koke to their team and it wouldn't be a huge surprise.

Personally Id be very surprised if we even get 2 of the 3 that are missing out of our side above.

Yep would be a disaster ffs. One of the few truly class signings.

Missing out on both Pogba and Koke would be a disaster. Unless we get someone like Verratti instead, we'll more than likely overpay for an average player again.

Koke could still stay at Atletico. I know people don't rate loyalty in the modern game but he DID already turn down Barcelona before their transfer ban and Simeone has been talking of plans to switch him to CM next season because he is so good with the ball.

If Chelsea go in for him unopposed then Txiki needs sacking on the spot. Even if Pogba is our number 1 target and even if behind closed doors he looks like he's coming, we simply can't allow Chelsea to have a free run on a top class player like Koke. At the absolute very least we have to create a bidding war and drive their price through the roof. Screw up this window and it's going to take a number of years before we can catch up. I have a bad feeling come August we won't be talking about who has the strongest first 11/squad between us and Chelsea, but instead we'll be struggling to name the players in our squad that have a chance of making their team.
