A week? this has been going on for fooking time mate, i'm sure i read some quotes from lazio saying it's more or less sorted? that leads me to think the player is holding out? Either way we want the players in asap for the gelling process imo. W potentially could have 6 new signings with only 2 weeks to bed them in.... does worry me tbh.

Theres been speculation for a long time but no bid made until it was reported by numerous papers last Thursday night. If we walk away from this deal now, what do we do? Look for another left back and hope we can conclude a deal or just stick with Wayne Bridge? The latter would worry me more than waiting another week or so to tie up the Kolarov deal

This. Just because we don't get our way and have a deal signed, sealed and delivered like we did with Gareth Barry doesn't mean we should throw our toys out of the pram and tell the selling clubs to get stuffed. It won't get us the players we want and it won't do our reputation any good either.

Patience is a virtue.

Well we walked away from the Eto'o deal so we have shown in the past we don't wanna be fecked about.

I think the Eto deal was a bit more complicated than this one. Like i say the official interest in terms of talking with Lazio etc has only been there for a week (If the media are to believed) which isn't actually that long a time, apart from a report this morning that suggests Kolarov favours Juve theres been nothing about the player not wanting to move and holding out for other clubs. We saw how long the Yaya Toure and David Silva deals took from when the interest was made official in the media and it was a lot longer than the Kolarov deal is taking. Of course there is an issue with getting players in as soon as possible but if Mancini thinks Kolarov is a big improvement on what we have then it's worth waiting for even if it takes a few games for the player to settle

This Kolarov transfer is starting to take the biscuit now, it's taking longer than an OAP would to cum.

Juventus are ready to approach Lazio with a last-gasp bid for Aleksandar Kolarov, who appears set to join Manchester City.

Aquilotti director Igli Tare claimed earlier this week that there was an agreement with City, reportedly worth €18 million, and he added that all that was needed was for the move to be announced "officially".

However, Lazio club president Claudio Lotito has re-opened the door to Juventus in the hope that the Bianconeri will offer a better deal, in which case the pendulum of the deal would swing heavily towards Turin.

He told Tuttosport: "If the Bianconeri are interested then they should make an offer which is adequate. Everything is possible, everyone has his price."

However, conflicting reports from Sky Sport Italia claim City are expected to announce the Kolarov deal officially later, leaving little prospect for Juventus, who appear to have moved a little late in the transfer saga.

says on gazzeta italia, that Juve are trying to hijack the signing of KOLOROV.

Right so juve have got anything like the money we have do they,i dont think so somehow, but city do wana get tough with em,just fuckin tell em look here's the offer we think its fair you either take it or fuck right of!!!

It seems City had agreed a deal with Lazio but "official" announcements of this agreement have still to take place. If the monies have been agreed I can't help but think City may not consider this deal a priority which is why it's dragging on. Perhaps they feel if we miss out it's not a big deal as we currently have cover at left back. Just surmising.....

Juve will not be in for him because they need to strengthen there midfield and attack and don't have the funds to buy a pricy left back such as Kolarov as well as these players.I think it is a natural response from the media because they don't know what the delays are caused by or lotito trying to make us rush into paying more for the player.I'm sure it is nothing to do with a visa because yaya signed before he got one so I think they will give in over the next few days and accept our offer and a deal will be concluded next week.
