Kolarov is the second worst full back in the league after Glen Johnson.

Always come across as a decent guy but on the pitch he is a waste of time. All he does is whack the ball as hard as he can whenever he gets it, he is the most wasteful player I have seen us have in a long time. Blackburn was the one and only game where I have gone away thinking he had played well and actually brought some quality to the side.

Give me Clichy any day, who is by far the more intelligent and better player. Why some of you think Kolarov even comes close mystifies me.

Yep, tend to agree with this - although Kolarov has improved from the at times shocking performances he put in earlier in the season. Doesn't look quite as off the pace...

Clichy. He played well at the weekend but let's not kid ourselves, Kolarov has been wank for most of the season, his 10 minute cameo in the home leg against Liverpool being the stunning low point. He is ok to come in against poor opposition but Clichy is far better defensively, and although he may not have the killer cross that Kolarov produces every now and then, his ability to get up and down the pitch quickly makes him more of a threat going forward too imo.

Second worst? Haha - He probably has the most assists out of any of them.

Kolarov comes close because 1) he has end product 2) he isn't anywhere near as bad as you make out.

You can prefer Clichy that's fine, but don't start making out Kolarov is some type of pub player.

Horses for courses for me has was proved on Saturday, when we need to break teams down and need more attacking than defending then its Kolarov. When we play the top sides and need a bit more defensive duties then Clichy every day of the week.

From a personal point of view I'd pick Clichy because he is a better all around player in that as a defender he can defend properly.
