Kolo Toure leaving?

Well he says that he wants to stay...

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/manchester-city/9440778/Kolo-Toure-ready-to-stay-at-Manchester-City-after-rejecting-move-to-Turkish-club-Bursaspor.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba ... aspor.html</a>

So let him stay and give him the 4th choice CB role and get someone such as Javi Martines or Dainel Agger to cover for Vinnie and Lescott.

Kolo wore the armband, has all of the tools to be successful. If he wants to win here than I'd say he deserves a fair chance. He certainly loved winning the title here last year. Some of you need to hop off FM.

In the real world and not FM, isn't it prudent to sell an aging player who has one year left on his contract and is a high earner then reinvesting the money on someone younger? I mean are City brass playing FM as they've obviously invited suitors for Kolo hence the interest from Turkey, Al Hilal, and maybe even Barca.

I wonder how much Kolo and Yaya want to play in the same side?
In his "Ask#Yaya" OS interview, Yaya said his brother was the best football player he knew.
If Kolo stays for the last year of his contract and becomes a free agent would Yaya be able to buy out the final year of his contract under that obscure "Webster ruling " his agent talked about earlier this summer?
Would the likes of Barca want the Toure brothers at their age?
Personally I would be happy to keep Kolo and obviously desparate to keep Yaya.

Yaya has been immense this pre-season.

A more reliable back up than Savic, but still not enough to put pressure on Lescott or Kompany. If we do shift him I won't be expecting a large fee.

Quote from Trabzonspor vice-president claiming there is pretty much a deal in place. Fingers crossed but the Turks like to posture just like the Italians.

Sad to see him go if true but 12 months left, then need to factor in the ACON then we have to sell him and get someone in and rotate around Lescott and Vinny

Well google translate has made a bit of a balls up in the title, but if they are geniune this is very good deal for Kolo and more importantly us.

I agree, I've a deep affection for both Toure brothers. On his day Kolo is a class player, a much better option than Savic.
He's probably frustrated not getting regular games, and RM is looking to the future.
Good Luck Kolo! Top man!
I just hope Yaya is OK with him moving on?

Sorry lads, i have to disagree, he's been poor from day one. he did well against villa at home, early doors (if i remember right), apart from that he's been a liability.

Him and savic are not good enough for a team wanting to win trophies unfortunately

I'm worried how this will affect Yaya, one of the reasons he came was because Kolo was here and with him leaving it could make him consider elsewhere, maybe not this season but sooner rather than later.
