Why didn't we go for Vertonghen? He would have provided great cover in CB and CDM. He could have created a very solid partnership with Vinny for at least 5 years.
This would let Kolo and Lescott mentor Vertonghen while Savic is on loan and let remove the pressure on Boyata.

I feel that this is the one transfer we shouldn't have let slip; not Hazard, Silva etc.

saw that as well, not sure why i know they need a CB but going after kolo seems like an awkward last ditch move no? theres gotta be better options for them and im assuming they dont have any youngsters than can fill in

KOLO TOURE has had stop start career at city .He didnt help himself failing that drugs test .Plus lescott as improved as a defender.So i dont think it would be a bad thing to move on to another club.
