Excellent knee jerk reaction - was it you lot by any chance who were trying to drum Micah Richards out of the club less than 12 months ago?
Yes he was a bit of a liability last night, and so was Savic, so why don't you get rid of him as well?
How much match practice has Toure had in the last 12 months? He was decent for a spell before he got injured, and before his ban. We ain't going to sell him any time soon. He isn't first choice any more, so try a bit of support and get off his case will ya? He needs game time.

Richards-Never doubted him....Kolo-past it,end of...Watch him closely he was awful....Sentiment wins fuck all. Savic had a solid game

Can't agree mate.

Yes, his performance last night was shocking. But when he was regularly partnering with Komps several months back, he looked solid. In fact I would go as far as to say that was a better pairing that Komps/Lescott.

He just needs game time. Whether he will get it is another question altogether.

fuck me have we not learnt lessons about writing players off

how many competitive games has he had in 8 months?

vk and jl obviously have those positions sorted but what a player to be able to call on if needed, plus his presence can only be good for yaya

well said,

examples balotelli, richards, lescott, kolarov, dzeko, barry, milner, yaya.

all been slagged off to fuck in on here.

some people never learn.

get behind the team and leave the manager to make the decisions

There's a difference though, he had been fading at Arsenal quite long before joining us. We paid way too much for a past his best player, another classic Hughes signing.

Kolo is shocking, picking him for the Bayern match was a rare bad call by Mancini. We should farm him out to Bolton and get the far superior Boyata back.

Oh mate, that's a scandalous observation and one I can't let go.

The minute Kolo got his drugs ban we stopped conceding from setpieces and went on a winning run which we're still on. For 18 months before that we looked shaky every time the ball was lumped in the box, and we used to struggle against the likes of Stoke and Bolton - teams we now brush aside.

The minute Kolo came back into the side we went shaky at the back. I texted my mate before that game "What the fuck is he playing Kolo for? Bet you we concede from a setpiece"

Wow, just when I thought this thread couldn't sink any lower.

There's a reason people call him Kung Fu Kolo and last night was a prime example. He was diving all over the show like a madman, swinging his legs, booting it in the air when a simple head back would do. It's like he'd never played football in his life.

He can't pass, can't tackle and is just very poor. Whoever thinks he's better than Lescott must be mad (and there were loads on here).

I also noticed something I've not seen since the start of last season, when we're playing our nice fast flowing passes, waiting for that chance to break though, when Kolo got it, he just went back to Pantilimon every time slowing things down. Not seen that since he was playing regularly in the team last season, it also doesn't help when Panty can't kick the thing.

Nedum in with Savic (who was also poor last night) for the next game please.

This is a disgrace..

Just because he goes to the media and says he's open to play elsewhere, is he suddenly a shit player?

Kolo was no worse than Savic last night.. And I would feel much more comfertable if JL or VK goes down for a big game and Kolo plays instead of Savic.

I saw no problem with Kolo's pace compared to A LOT of good CB's, and he's as experienced as anyone.

Which game were you watching..He was awful. Savic had one bad tackle and got carded for it.After that he didn't put a foot wrong. Kolo however was unsure of his passing, diving into tackles etc..6 months off or not-he is not what we need to take us further..As stated earlier in my post, his best days were behind him when useless signed him. Boyata is his natural replacement but again he needs to develop.

Boyata is better than Kolo. That said, his loan to Bolton is exactly what he needs now.

-- Thu Oct 27, 2011 5:09 pm --

Statistics have shown that simply is not true.

IMo he shouldn't be judged on one performance last night, he has been effectively out of the game for 8 months, hasn't played that many games so probably isn't really fully 100% fit. Put him in a back four with reserve keeper and bound to be mistakes. Before he got injured and Lescott was out everyone saying the same about him, for me especially defenders it is always about playing in a consistent side and having a working relationship with the 3 other defenders and keeper. You only have to look at the rags to see what disarray they are in defensively, which again IMO has been brought about by constant changes and their new keeper.

The thing is he was shit 8 months ago as well. He's been shit since he joined.
