kolo's performance

Kolo is a decent CB, not 1rst tier PL caliber though, that's why we are in desperate need of a solid first class cover for VK/Lescott signed before the transfer window's closed.
Leave Kolo/Savic for the FA cup.

He worries me alot.

It was funny when he out paced that pele raheem fella thought that was quite embarrassing for the kid and the commentators who were trying to brainwash the armchairs into thinking the kid was good.

Kolo plays at his best when he has had a run of games under his belt. Lescott was the same, every time he used to come into the team after not playing for a while, he always looked shaky. But then he gets a run in the team and he is quality. Kolo lacks sharpness at the moment and I agree with others that say he shouldn't play in the 3-5-2. But I still think he can be relied upon, however I wouldn't have started him away to Liverpool.

I dont think the 3 5 2 helped him yesterday and he must step his game up. But i dont think he will get the playing time he wants/needs

If Kompany gets injured we would have a very big problem so the board need to give mancini what he wants to make sure we have no problems and that means sell kolo to. Has rikik gone on loan? Give the lad a chance if not

I thought Toure had a solid game and I don't see how people can say he is overweight, he is pretty quick for a CB. Never got left for dead by Sterling.

He looks overweight because he tucks his shirt into his shorts.

wot worries me about Kolo is that he never seems to have signed up to the Posession and Vision side of Mancini's game. Whenever he seems to get the ball, he seems incapable of a simple first touch to the next man and sits on the ball, looking all over the place for where it should go - and generally starts to flap when someone does not become immediately obvious.

OK, with Micah out and Joleon with a twinge, there was no other choice, but this is precisely where we need to be strenghening along with a few other positions. Our defense needs to be unbreakable, bearing in mind how much work Mancini did on that area for the 1st 18 months. We need to upgrade on Kolo and Savic needs to go out on loan and get his experience elsewhere.

His outlet (Milner) had one of his worst matches in a City shirt. He stranded Kolo. I'm surprised worse didn't occur.

I'd love to know our results when he has featured significantly. I reckon we've not won one for a long time. Never rated him when he played under Hughes either.

Thought Kolo did alright yesterday - I wouldn't trust him in a back four but as part of a three he looks better and he's still fast - that Sterling was made out to be the quickest thing ever before the game but he never got past Kolo.

Personally, I was more concerned about Kompany yesterday - he got too tight to Suarez and gave the ball away too easily trying to play Hollywood, 60-yard passes all the time. Against Southampton he was trying to be too clever as well. No doubt he's a great player, but it seems he needs about 4/5 weeks at the start of a season to get up to speed.
