Kompany injured again...

I would leave Kompany out now for the rest of the season and go with what we've got.

Maybe he was rushed back too soon on both occasions and leaving him out for the season will help him recover properly and get a good pre season under his belt (that's if he doesn't get injured in the Euros).

If he breaks down again in the new season then we really are goosed and so is he.

We need another world class centre half in the summer as waiting to see if he's OK after the summer window shuts is a big risk and no doubt Pep will already have this sorted.

They didn't manage his game time he was put straight in and playing full 90 minutes. I thought he was doing a pretty spiffing job coming back from injury and not looking out of place up until last night.

Could yesterday really be put down to being rushed back? Surely he could just as easily have done that in the first few minutes of a light training session?

Could definitely do with a rest this summer.
Euros are the last thing he needs.
If he were to get through them I think Pep should put pressure on him to choose between club and international football...

If he said he would put City first he would be an even bigger hero to Blues but if I was was in the same position it would be a very difficult choice and my loyalty to City goes back a bit longer.

I don't know how long the operation takes but can it be much longer than the six weeks we keep seeing? My own recent dealings with the surgeons didn't seem to take so long to repair with dissolvable stitches patching me up with vinegar and brown paper.

There's an average of 12 weeks rehab required after thigh muscle surgery.

I would imagine he is done for the season,mp needs to be drilling nico and mangler every minute in training, sadly i expect he won't do that
I don't know what the solution is but i feel vinny is at a crossroads

Thanks for that. Is that for the man in the street or a footballer? Will it be a permanent fix?

A big decision needs to be made by Vinnie and City. With the benefit of hindsight, an op in September should have done the trick by now.
