Cracking news, and at last some commonsense has been used. A big thank you should go to, all the players from other clubs, some media folk (Hansen and Gray come to mind) and ex players, that have stuck up for Vinny over the tackle.

It shouldn't matter what anyone in the media thinks or says, if Mike Deane looked at it again from a side view the one we have all seen he would not have sent Kompany off he wouldnt have even given a foul, and that is the big thing here it wasnt even a foul,

he would have been more likely to book Wilshire who had over run the ball and dived in if anything he made contact with Kompany not the other way, so for me appealing this and having it upheld was never in doubt, no matter who in the media or press thought it should have stood or not

It wasn't a foul and the powers that be can see that clear as day

And some people on bluemoon were saying that we shouldn't appeal.
Some were saying he was a twat for making the tackle!

he's not a twat for making the tackle, but I hope he doesnt keep doing that type of tackle as he will get sent off again for doing so - from Mike Deans viewpoint it didnt look good

Fuck right off Souness
im with you on that mate...when he played and tackled he went in to hurt the player nearly every time,so for him to comment like he did about vinny"s perfect tackle reminds me just how much of a twat he is.........

Re: Kompany red card and appeal

Mirror journo/Arsenal fan John Cross going mental on Twitter, a beautiful sight.

Re: Kompany red card and appeal

I must admit I thought it was a silly tackle at the time and it wouldn't of been overturned like the one in the FA Cup last season, but it is good to see that common sense has prevailed.
