I don't think we should appeal. I don't think it was a red but it is unlikely it will be overturned.

Never going to be overturned. Appealing is just voluntarily having Kompany banned for a game much bigger on paper than the one he's missing. Take the ban and let lescott and Nastasic cover.

At one stage 2 feet were off the floor so there is not a chance it will get rescinded. If 2 feet leave the floor at the same time at any point then you've got no arguments. Absolutely stupid from Kompany as the ref was always going to be waiting to even it up. Needless tackle to lunge into.

Appeal it or the game has died a death for me.

There is a camera angle of the tackle that shows it is as clean a tackle as you can make so get appealing.

As for the Arsenal players desperate to see him go, fucking shameful you soft, southern cunts!

Not a red IMO

The head on view is the one that appears to be "iffy", however, this angle doe not gives any idea of any perspective or distance.

Linesman cannot stand behid a goal and hope to get offsides right - they view offsides from the side one angle clearly shows that Vinny got the ball with one leg only off the ground, with the other trailing some way behind.

Cannot believe that it would be classed as frivolous appeal - so may as well lodge the appeal.

Will it get overturned? 50/50 IMO

Really mate ? I think Dean is right up there with the best, and also one of the few that if they make a mistake, I feel it's a genuine and honest one.

I hope the FA see sense but I doubt that very much.

the FA will back their ref and give Vinnie an extra game if we appeal, take the three games, give Lescott a run in the side and Vinnie a rest, we should be ok against Fulham and QPR, with the third game in the FA Cup.

Dermot Gallagher was just on AD Sports and was certain that it would be overturned on appeal. Either way it definitely can't be deemed frivolous

I agree with this, there was no need for it. As a player you can't give these refs any excuse to even it up. Swallow it and move on, we will cope.
