Qualified our tiny nation for the Euros in his first attempt. He’s done alright. Developed youth.

The right decision. Coming back, as an assistant, would be a step back and arguably the wrong career move, particularly as we do not know the long term direction with regards the mgmt structure.

Get yourself some experience, prove your worth and come back on merit. Potentially, getting the main job any other way could increase the likelihood of risking your reputation.
