Kompany & Silva Statues

Can’t wait for the serge one they look class. Despite Yaya being an idiot a lot of this wouldn’t have been possible without him, I think he’s owed recognition.

He got a training pitch named after him. Attitude is equally important as performances, for me. These two are legends in every way.

The fourth statue has to be Yaya. Just because he was a bit of a knobhead at times we shouldn't forget his massive contribution on the pitch.

Perhaps he could be posed about to blow out the candles on his birthday cake.

As the media circus rolls into town sucking up every bit of info regarding the(admittedly fairly good) Portugese Show pony ,2 immense statues are revealed at the home of the nations champions.
One of a humble, unassuming hugely underated (by the uninitiated) massively skilful player, one of the very best the Prem has ever seen. The other a hugely influential, determined articulate true leader of men, one of the best ever captains to grace the league.
Will one event get probably be largely ignored while the other be 'wanked over to death (sorry for lowering the tone) by our nations fine media, probably!
Great statues from the photos by the looks of it (not quite Michael Jackson at Fulham though it must be said!)

Just heard Vincent and David talk about City and Manchester was pretty emotional, love them both

These will become justifiably iconic for our icons, a meeting place, somewhere to celebrate, a place to remember, can’t wait for the first home night match!
Vinnie’s:- imposing strong dominating
Dave’s:- elegant with poise & a ball at his feet
The club, sculptor & everyone involved have done the project proud, like on the pitch we create a new history by not following others, we are City

After all the apprehension over these and the earlier pics of them looking nothing like silva or kompany I must say they are absolutely stunning..
This. I love 'em. Andy Scott has done a brilliant job.

I'm happy they aren't just standard bronze statues either.

Unique players at a unique club deserve unique statues.

"It will look good in the Manchester rain" - David Silva

I think they look great, They have a timeless quality which will still look good in years to come.
