Seems like yesterday to me, when football was good and the world cup was the only time you saw live matches on the telly except for the odd sunday afternoon ITV Everton v Watford or the Cup final.

That's odd because by that point we got about an English live match a week in Sweden, and had done for over 15 years. Well before my time too, but I still know of it. Biggest reason to why English footy is so popular over here.

He did give an answer didn't he? I'm sure he said that though he actually played against Maradona when he (MH) was very young, that Platini was the player he most admired.
I don't know. If you read some of these comments, you'd think MH was a right boring b*stard and question ducker. I couldn't disagree more. The fella comes to the event for a start. Can you imagine bacon face doing that? MH can't answer the question properly about which player he'd really like to sign because it would be all over the press in a flash. He takes the piss out of himself for his bright red face and strikes a balance with joking with the fans about Berti, but defending the lad at the same time. I'm just wondering what the bloke has to do to win people over.
I saw him in a different light tonight. I don't give a shite what he looks like in his match of the day interviews as long as we keep getting better and the players want to win for him, which IMHO, they do and they are doing.
