Kurt Zouma | Fined £250k by club and cats removed by RSPCA

That’s because we have learned that dogs can offer other benefits to us other than eating them (except for certain parts of the world) through work, companionship or entertainment. And also other food is readily available from animals less able to do such things. It’s not really that odd. As for actually killing the animal for one’s own food, this was still commonplace up to the last war with chickens for example.
That only confirms what I said, other benefit to us that was kind of the point. You really got me with a small % of people killed chickens 80 years ago though:-)

I don't think people need educating that they allow other people to abuse animals for their own pleasure which is what eating meat is.

I'm a meat eater but morally there isn't an argument for doing so. We are a strange lot we give animals a hierarchy. Eat or kick fido and you're a monster but treat a chicken like shit its fine. After all you don't want to walk a chicken up a road and it tastes nice with gravy.

Don't agree at all. Perhaps we should be training tigers to eat fruit and nuts? Humans are omnivores - meat eating is the most natural thing we could possibly do.

I agree however that killing animals for sport is completely unacceptable.

Yeah another old one other animals eat meat so that’s okay. Now Mr Shere Khan after you have stopped nibbling on that deer can one interest you in a vegetable baji? Fuck off im stuffed, it’s just wafer thin pastry sir.

The lengths you lot go to:-)

Or perhaps you're wrong? Just a thought. You completely ignored my comment about humans naturally being omnivores.

Do you object to humans eating all living things, i.e. plants as well? Or just animals? What about insects? Can we eat them? Have you considered what life is like for the average wild animal? It's constant battle for survival with often barely enough food, battling the cold and hunting around for enough to eat, whilst trying not to get attacked by another animal, or getting some disease. It's like you imagine they are all playful bunnies, happily skipping jumping and playing without a care in the world. It's entirely natural that they get killed to be eaten by a predator, and so long as we respect them and don't kill them wantonly and for no good reason, then that is I think acceptable.
