Kurt Zouma | Fined £250k by club and cats removed by RSPCA

No he isn't (or shouldn't be). He is a footballer.
Roll models should be your older siblings, uncle or aunts and naturally your parents.

Let the police deal with animal cruelty charges but don’t see why club should drop him. Obviously an idiot but why should WHam suffer as a result of that.
I’d happily slap the big dopey **** around or in fact anyone I saw being cruel to animals - I have done in the past and remarkably I got in trouble for it.

That said I think the Met have bigger fish to fry such as investigating middle aged people who may have briefly attended a private party for a drink or two or prosecuting those who’ve said slightly mean things on the internet.

Yes it is very observant of you. All tabloids are shite but it's quite a detailed article relating to the subject nonetheless.
Do you think he will get 4 years in prison, or do you think that the article is a touch sensationalist?

He could get 5 years in prison using the U.K.‘s 2006 animal cruelty act. Why stop at 4 years?

Yes a typical total bollocks story. In fact the maximum penalty for animal cruelty in England is five years so that could have been their headline. If Zouma is prosecuted here it is theoretically possible he could get a very short jail term but more realistically he will get a fine. That said I still think he is a bulllying scumbag who deserves anything he gets.
I’ve just replied to him without seeing this. I’ve said similar to him.

He won’t get jail time. He’ll donate a wedge to the RSPCA and do some sort of community service for them and life will move on.

How can you prosecute Zouma for cruelty to animals when fox hunting is given the royal seal of approval from the king in waiting?

It doesn't matter what I think and the tabloids will always run with click baiting headlines as everyone knows. I posted it because I'm sure most people weren't aware that he could face prosecution in France if our powers that be decide not to pursue it. Or the RSPCA and the police here may step aside and let France deal with it if their courts are tougher on animal abuse than ours. If it goes to court here I expect a slap on the wrist and a fine as maximum penalties for anything are rarely given here.

Not really remarkable. I can only of private defence being applicable to this situation, i. e. It was necessary to prevent a crime and proportionate. E. g. to stop someone severely beating a dog in public or to stop someone attacking your own animals.

You can't hand it out as punishment.

Offences against the person would usually be considered more serious [legally] than animal cruelty on this scale.

Maybe he’ll get 9 years on both sides of the channel then.

My guess, and that’s all it is, is that France will do fuck all about what has happened in the U.K.
