Kurt Zouma | Fined £250k by club and cats removed by RSPCA

Last time I looked, eating meat was still legal and cruelty to pets wasn't. When that changes - those that have hijacked the condemnation of this sorry excuse of a man would have a more valid point.
It's legal to boil a Lobster alive because it "tastes better".
There's also plenty of "legal" ways to con an elderly person out of their life's savings.
So not sure being legal is taking the higher ground.

Points taken.
Couldn't agree more with the horrific, selfish and disgusting way lobsters are cooked/killed. Needs stopping. It's not the 70s.
The second example is of course a disgrace too. I'm sure there are "legal" ways around a great many things.
Can we at least all agree that Zouma has acted abhorrently without the militant vegetarian/vegan tendency, branding everyone a hypocrite - when they clearly are not.

I'm pretty sure the original posts about meat eaters weren't serious when the whataboutery started but as ever were latched onto by a couple of not rights and snowballed from there.

He won’t get any jail time.

Did you seriously think I thought he would? There are worse cases of animal abuse that don't get jail time. The media are highlighting the maximum penalty he could face if prosecuted here or in France as that draws people in. I'm not sure where you're going with this exchange. It's not a point scoring exercise or who gets a gold star for being proved right. It's about Zouma being a **** for abusing a defencless animal. The damage done now to him, his pocket, reputation and career will hurt him far more than prison time would, as unpleasant as that would be for him.

No.
There are.
The media are highlighting the worst case scenario for them in a click bait exercise. It drew you in.
I laughed that you’d filled for the Daily Mail sensationalist bullshit.
You suggested that you wanted to highlight what the French could do.
I suggested that my guess is the French would do fuck all.
You tended to agree, I think.
I don’t know who scored what points, I didn’t know they were on offer.
Zouma is a ****. That’s been established on this thread well before our exchange, which has added nothing to his cuntishness.
Time will tell what damage that is done to his career. I think it will be less than you think.

To be honest we're having exactly the same conversation on a WhatsApp group and my mate whose a veggie called us all hypocrites, personally I haven't got a problem with that.

Your veggie mate thinks you're a hypocrite for thinking Zouma is out of order whilst being a meat eater?
I mean, on some level he may well be correct but it's the daftest deflection tactic I've heard and tbh just makes them sound daft as fuck.
