I reckon Mané would have absolutely destroyed us if it weren't for this guy. Mané was really up for this game.
 
He has been a fantastic signing and plays such an important role in this City side. Some pundits were going on about paying 50 mil for a full back at the start of the season as though this particular position is somehow unimportant....some actually said it was outrageous to pay so much.....what a bunch of idiots.
 
Fantastic recovery work in the first half and a superb forward run deep,into the second. There are times when it looks as if Walker just chooses to go on a long run simply to exhaust the sad player whose hard luck it is to track him. It’s highly attritional.
 
His pace is such an important asset in preventing counter attacks.

Yep, I believe he does this. Lol. Coz yher are just times when he starts busting a gut and you can tell the way the play is setting up Simply isn't going to him. But he runs it at full pelt anyway. Gotta love that :)

Do you think Walker can be good CB ?

I was thinking, instead of buying Jonny Evans we can use Walker as CB and recall Maffeo next year.

More utilisation of what we have, better squad quality with less cost.

One of the best if not the best right backs at the moment why move him out of position and make us weaker at right back.. Maffeo,may be able to totate with Walker but he isnt as good, not yet anyway.

Best one v one defender. Fastest defender. Decent technique, and underrated passing ability. Absolutely he can play CB. The problem is he is a worldie at Fullback.
 
Walker is a rock defensively - sometimes out of position but pace gets him back to make tackles. Good enough on the ball and so-so in attack - still, shoring up the right side really helps us. If we need right side threat - give it to Sterling.

A huge part of our success this year - IMO - is the defensive strength Walker adds to our side.
 
Absolute fvcking hero. Best right back in the league by far.

I remember all the media numpties saying that Spurs had done brilliant business selling us Walker when they had Trippier who was arguably a superior full back according to them. No disrespect to Trippier who's fondly remembered here but he's not in Kyle's class.

Also I swear I heard somebody on Sky say that Valencia was better than Walker although it's such an absurd comment I may have dreamt it
 
He can lock down an entire flank on his own. From memory, the ONLY player to get the better of him this season is Bernard. Which to me says an awful lot about Bernard and I really want him at City!
