Mendy is clearly going to be a bigger threat going forward but all their threat was on our left side so Walker is likely to be the better defender of the two. They offered nothing from that side.

It'll be interesting to see how Guardiola goes about improving both fullbacks over the seasons (Walker in terms of being even more productive in terms of attack and Mendy in terms of defensive positioning when we don't have possession).

I think it's a perfect mix for Walker to be a bit more reserved if Mendy is going to be more gung-ho. If he can time his runs forward right then we are in business. He already looks a fantastic buy.

Impressed by Walker's defensive game so far - and supposedly, defense is a weakness of Walker's.

As for Mendy - the guy has pace to burn.

So even if he's a bit gung-ho going forward, he'll be far more effective than Kolarov in similar situations simply because he'll more often than not run into some semi-decent position on defense.

Great performance yesterday. Opponents attacking on our right side has become extremely tough because of this guy. A sureshot 8/10 performer on most days.

Most spurs fans knew Walker is better than trippier, they was just hurting because the best right back in the league was leaving.

Was a bit underwhelmed by the prospect of signing Walker tbh, always thought Rose was much the better of their two full backs. Fair play though, so far he looks the business.

Think it's embarrassing for them that Spurs fans seem to reply to all of his tweets talking about how much happier they are with Trippier and Aurier. It's obviously denial. Walker has been the best RB in the league for 2-3 years now and is perfect for what we want out of the position. The fact that he's English is a huge boost.

Totally agree with this. KW has been great so far and will only improve
