What aimless criticism. You think Danilo is shit because he attempts a few long range shots? He isnt as fast as Walker, but he definitley isn’t no slouch like you’ve described. What a load of shit

I didn't call him a slouch. Same way Mendy isn't a slouch but I wouldn't describe either as having blistering pace or players who enjoy a physical battle. And no, him taking too many aimless shots isn't my only problem with him. I thought that was pretty clear from the comment to be honest. How specific do you need the criticism to be?

Alright, calling him shit is going too far (I'm not a morning person) but I do think he's several steps below Walker and therefore I stand by my original point that Kyle has no real competition.

For what it's worth, I like him but I just don't think he's good enough and, as ever, I hope he proves me wrong at some point.

I have my doubts over Walker I must admit. Never seen him dominate in the big games, dithers on the ball and regularly plays simple.

Kyle Walker hasn’t really played that well at all this season but in the last two months I think his concentration has gone. He takes his eye off the ball or off the opposing man or off the player he’s passing to at the wrong times and he either miscontrolls it, gives it away or is dispossessed.

We saw the signs that he has it in his locker at Wigan last season and against us a few times for Spurs but at the moment that sort of thing is happening every game.

I’ve never thought he was a good footballer, just a really good athlete. But last season his concentration was much better and his pace got him out of a lot.

He needs to get his head on it though. Maybe even needs a rest. Don’t know why he played last night. No need to play him at all.

I am not sure he needs a rest, he is just not very good technically. Pace gets him out of trouble and he is surrounded by talented players who offer him an outlet. He is a typical English player, limited.

He is ok though. It’s left back that bothers me more.

Dire is OTT.While he is definitely out of sorts somewhat,he also made some decent interceptions, especially where the incredibly fast, and dangerous,Gray was concerned.

It probably is OTT yes, but I am concerned about his performances and for me it is all because of how much he has to play. Compared to Zinchenko for the Leicester goal his positioning was better and Stones did well to double up on Gray and help Walker. Some of his decision making is poor and that is due to fatigue. We really need Danilo to stay fit and give him a break.

I think he needs a rest. He looks good one minute then not so good the next - There is no point having Danilo if he can't stay fit. Danilo's role is to be back up so unless his fitness improves I would sell Danilo in the summer and get someone that can stay fit

The problem is that Danilo is shit. He needs proper competition.
Danilo is a good player let’s face it he played for Real Madrid. When Danilo gets fit and has a few games he will start before Walker who has this season lost his explosive pace and makes more than one of his usual howlers.

He’s played an obscene amount of football and needs a break. It doesn’t help that Danilo has struggled for fitness this season too.
Exactly,
people forget he played the majority of games last season, went deep into the world cup, then came back nearly straight away to play in the community shield, and is the only outfield player in the squad (other than fernandinho) who hasn't been able to be rotated this season.

He’s far better technically and tactically than many give him credit for, obviously his pace and physicality do get him out of trouble as well but that’s why he’s so good for us because as a team we lack that ability.

I do think he’s one of the ones Pep has mentioned about playing with injuries though, he seems to have lost that explosiveness in the last month or so, especially when he’s turning and twisting.
