Not been a fan of him this season, he was daft with that incident but I didn't think it was a red. It's crunch time now and we need him with a cool head and on form. If he smashes it for a month, which he could, I'll happily forget about what has been a wayward season for him. Can't say I'm confident he'll do that but we live in hope. Spurs games could make or break it for him. Time to step up

Benching him on half time was more about sending the message than injury scare, very daft of him to do that when head butting is a straight red.

He is very luck it appeared as he brushed baksh forehead rather than makin solid contact and for baksh not to dive.

100% right . straight red all day long how tue fuck he got away with it only he knows
Clearly not...even VAR said NO!

If he had pulled his head back, yes.

And, if someone pushed me down and stamped on me for nothing, I might be a bit angry too. That said, he screwed himself, because it meant he couldn’t leave something on him in a challenge later. Like I said earlier...stupid!

It was the right call to take him off but let's not forget that he has been a good player for us; not as good this season but last season he was wonderful. Unlike most in our team, he is completely one footed; show the inside and he is in trouble and has to take the safe option. He has been worked out a little in that regard and as his athleticism fades, he will go downhill quickly. A player we needed when Zabba's stock started to fall but possibly not a really long-term player at the very highest levels.

Sad to see such petulance from him. We should be better than that with our experience. Shows how fragile things are. One poor choice or decision could cost us any competition. Pep hopefully gave the whole team a bollocking as a reminder of that.

Imagine if that moment stopped us progressing and we went on to win the league, thus blocking our domestic treble?
I appreciate the red mist can descend but it’s still incredibly stupid and not the first time he’s reacted like that.
I think thats why he was pulled at half time. He had his head in his hands early in second half on the bench and looked like he was going to burst into tears. I wouldn’t be surprised if Pep has gone through him. He is an idiot.

I think a red card would have been too much for that "nearly action", 2 yellows are spot on.
If the Brighton fecker didn't push Kyle in the back just before the ball was going out
AND stomping on Kyle's left hamstring, nothing would have happened at all. Pure act of provocation. It worked well.

If Kyle's reaction was red, the push and stomp is a red as well.

Imagine, your club is in THE crunch time of the club's history.
Your are doing everything any day to keep your body in shape, physios are working hard, too.

Then some mother fucker of a an idiot is landing on your most important running muscle, just for provocation. That's no fun at all.

Btw, I have seen so many diving and arm throwing moments from Brighton players, absolutely discusting.
I also thought Pep wasn't happy with Hughton.
What makes you say that?
