Kyle Walker : 2018/19 performances

We're really not in the period of the season where we're wanting any injuries, but Walker being out forces Pep's hand into giving Danilo a proper run in this team, who's been by far and away the better option whenever he's played this season.

Cannot fathom why Pep continues to stick with Walker as first choice whilst continually making horrible, brain dead decisions in match after match. Other players do not get the same luxury.
Try thinking differently. Maybe Pep played Walker yesterday as he doesn't see him playing against spuds

I'm sure Pep subbed him at half time to make a point, the problem is, he shouldn't need to be making that point to a player of Walkers experience. He was obviously incensed at the challenge from behind but his reaction could've cost us a cup final place. From 509 it looked a straight red all day long and everyone was surprised when Taylor didn't give it, then took it to VAR, and when it wasn't given after a replay. Having seen it again, there's far less in it than appears in real time and, with hindsight, a yellow apiece was probably the fairest outcome but we were fortunate Taylor didn't take the opportunity to shaft us that Walker presented him with.

What makes you say that?

At one point late in the match after another tough incident from a Brighton player I saw Pep stare to the Brighton bench
but I can't remember when exactly,
and I could be completely wrong.

But Pep surely didn't miss the way Brighton were playing.
Actually WE wanted to play and them wanted to destroy (they still lost),
supported by the ref who thought he had to equal out football skills by impartial reffing.

Walker probably would have walked out without VAR.

A reporter for the Manchester Evening news,
Simon Bajkowski tweeted yesterday that Pep said he "took him off at half-time because he had a hamstring problem".
If it was true, I wonder if the problem occurred when he was stamped on the back of his thigh, in the hamstring area? Hopefully not too serious if he has an injury?

Subbed him to make a point? He was fucking injured! Did you miss the 20 minutes of the first half where he was half hobbling, holding his lower back and went down for treatment from the physio's?

Glad to see there's been no wild, emotional overreactions in here about a person overreacting. Oh wait...

Its bizarre. Walker overreacted, but he had some sort of lower back injury which hed had treatment for, and then the Brighton player gave him a massive shove in the back. Hes got the biggest game of his life on Tuesday and he was probably already in pain and worried about if he was gonna make it before the Brighton player shoved him. Rush of blood to the head, it happens sometimes, hes certainly not the first City player to get close to a red card this season.

Now hes all of a sudden the dumbest player in history, got subbed to send a message, was crying on the bench because Pep ripped him a new one, and a complete liability who we need to get rid of.

I dont know if it's the quadruple or the title race being close, but the last couple of weeks on here have been ridiculous, every tiny thing being blown up.
