45 million actually is bad business.
1. Its about 15 million above the FB transfer record.
2. Its for a 27 year old player who is good but not exceptional.
3. He is not indespensible to his team.

If we can't get a deal btw 20-30 million we should walk away.
I don't get why we should walk away if the price is to high. If the player fits the jigsaw then the price is worth paying.
 
His price may have dropped from the initial asking price, as far as we know after Danny Alves greed to sign. They were probably asking for 55M before.
 
45m as a spurs publicly requested fee after the past few weeks of "50/60m" being bandied about is testament to us, will now end up 40m plus add-ons hopefully

You're in a good mood this morning, what with this post and the one in the Toisin thread

Maybe I am setting the bar too high this morning! Walker would represent an improvement on the current situation but is not a player
that we must sign at all cost. If we are going to be pissed about the place by Spuds all summer and pay the best part of 50M perhaps we should look elsewhere.
