Speaking of Giggs.

There was a woman from around these local parts, who carried on going to two specific ones over and over again.

For over a decade the legend goes she went back and forth from one to the other... If that isn't dedication to her favourites I don't know what is.

But, she doesn't do these Giggs anymore or I've certainly not heard about it if she does.

And it was a free ticket because we lived across the road.

Bowie came down from the stage roof on a chair singing Let's Dance.

Cool as fuck.
Sorry to piss on yer chips Tolm but he was singin(speakin)the intro to Glass Spider as he came down. Lets Dance was one of the last on the setlist. Was a great night though. Only bettered by Floyd imo...(was leathered at Oasis. Don't remember much)

My recollection is it hammered down all afternoon/evening. It’s probably the only gig at Maine Road I sat in the main stand to watch.
It was decent but not as good as his Let’s Dance tour imho. Time Will Crawl was and still is a decent track though.

And as for Floyd, it ain’t Floyd without Roger ;-)

Getting off topic here but my mates and I went into a Motorhead gig at the Apollo and literally cowered at the back of the stalls behind the seats to try and avoid losing our hearing. We got in for free due to a friendly doorman we knew and didn't stay long.

Ironically, the only gig I've been to that competed with that Motorhead gig for ear splitting volume was a week before Bowie played his MR gigs. Motley Crue at Nashville Arena, which was painfully loud.
It was pretty intense as a 12yr old, thankfully was in the circle.

Loved the Apollo for gigs though, so much better than any arena and relatively easy to get to the front there.

Seen Crue a few times, always in arenas unfortunately. Mad shows, especially the upside down drum solos.

Didn't see Kyle Walker at any of them, suspect he might have been in Munich. Think that's safely back on topic...
