Mbappè's a player Pep likes, but Kylian to Real is probably the biggest open secret in world football. Even Pep said so when asked over a year ago.

PSG claimed if he didn't sign a contract extension, he'd be in the reserves for his final year. Then there were reports Mbappé & PSG had commenced negotiations on a new contract extension, so he was reintegrated into the squad, then nowt! Radio silence & no contract extension.

I reckon all the Liverpool links are merely Mbappé trying to up his money & terms from Real. He's always been the one they wanted.
 
Over a year ago Madrid announced they were taking Bellingham for £100 million Mbappe on a free and Davis, the last two this summer, needless to say Madrid are now denying this over tapping up rules, but in Mbappe`s case he has a contract that pays a loyalty payment, at the end of a season where he does not ask for a transfer, so he is not going anywhere on loan, PSG also have to play him whether he gives 100% or not, Madrid are going to give him a huge sighing on fee and huge wages, as they can market him better, but he has shit on the entire French league, as he is their superstar that TV deals and sponsors were built on.

What is going on with this player is crazy. I accept he is the best player in the world but not by a margin that warrants the money and power he exercises at PSG. The sooner Real get him and integrate him into a team system the better. If he came to us or Liverpool I think his ego would cause an almighty clash with the respective managers.

If we would have bought him all those years back , he would be a better player, but he went to a weak league and his ego grew, he is a very good player, but as i say there will always be another, and at 25 for a player of his type time is important, he has already had 8 years.

Agreed 100%. However, regardless of what Real are denying, the fact is the Bellingham transfer happened as rumoured, irrespective of the strong links to Liverpool & City. It now seems Mbappé & Davis look likely to follow suit.

I'd only differ in saying, Mbappé this summer & Davis next summer when his contract ends. I can also see Davis going to Real sooner if Bayern decide something this summer is better than nothing next when his contract ends.

Regardless, it looks like Galacticos 2.0 for Real, all whilst avoiding serious FFP issues. Imagine Bellingham, Mbappé & Davis for €88m? ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠⊙⁠_⁠ʖ⁠⊙⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

I respectfully disagree. I think PSG created the monster that is Mbappé, by betting the house on him being the keystone of the Messi, Neymar & Mbappé triumvirate.

He wanted to leave, & Real wanted him for £180m even with only a year left on his contract. PSG said no, & paid Kylian an estimated €300 over 3 seasons to extend his contract, which he did. A player would be crazy not to take that life changing amount of money from a top European club.

But for PSG to allegedly also include Kylian being involved in transfers, team selection & tactics too, this took PSG's bullshit to a level rarely (if ever) seen in football.

This is why I don't get all the Mbappé bad, disruptive attitude tropes. I honestly believe whomever Kylian signs for, it'll be a top club who know how to handle Superstar Footballers, & who won't stand for any bullshit.

Could you see City offering any of our players the terms Mbappé was on at PSG? Could you see Mbappé telling Txiki who he wants signing, or Pep how he wants the team setting up & which tactics to use? No chance! How is any manager supposed to handle a player with more power than he has?

PSG have used money to enter the big boy league, BUT it's a big boy league created, dominated & run by Real Madrid, as we've seen with the European Super League. You only have to look at the pull this bohemoth has to see they generally get what they want.

Which other club could threaten Mbappé with "If you don't commit, we're going after Haaland instead"? ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠⊙⁠_⁠ʖ⁠⊙⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯
