Kylian Mbappé | Real Madrid Player (pg620)

I know. I am a bit of a dick at times butbon reflection the other fella or woman is right the vardy comparison is way too harsh. The lad has much much moremin his locker but in principle I stand by much of what I'm saying. Doesn't mean I'm right though. Just another opinion.
cheers mate

First of all your second paragraph reiterates exactly what I have said in my previous post about PSG having to face deep blocks like city. So I ain't got a clue what your on about there. Again read my previous posts I'm assessing the lad on what city want from their forwards, a false 9 who makes the whole system tick but who can chip in with goals. For example Firminio, Son, hazard even. Comparing mbappe with Messi is your issue not mine so its not worth a response. The lack of goals he has scored is significant because its a shit league and as you have described PSG, face the same deep blocks as City. So if he can't rack em up in a shit league what makes u think he will rack em up in the Prem. I'm not sure what he cost but what your saying is PSG paid 150mil plus for Mbappe to clean his boots for a season. Come the fuck on! As for the reference to the lad being an upmarket vardy, I agree there it was harsh. But what I was saying is that both thrive in open spaces, playing on the shoulder of the defender marking them. Let me repeat again I ain't saying the lad is shit. What i seriously doubt is how is current skillset would work with what city want from their forwards, its a lot more than goals, ask aguero. Further I remember 3 years ago much of the same hype surrounding Pogba when it was thought he may be coming to City. Can anyone on this forum honestly tell me he's justified the hype and fee at utd. Mbappe is a very good player for his age, but needs to develop. Pogba should be a clear reminder that when it comes development and form nothing is a given in the Prem.

Think long and hard about that word.

I can see Madrid floating £300m plus Ronaldo for Neymar and Mbappe in the next few weeks.

It would save face for all parties concerned. Paris would be crazy not to take it and their owners would have Ronaldo as their face for the 2022 World Cup.
Why would anyone exchange a past his prime 33 year old star for the 2 best young players on the rise?

That makes no sense.

If this past his prime 33 year old can be the current Balon D'or holder then everyone else must be seriously shit.

44 goals in 44 appearances last season is truly awful.

He'll win it again as well. Just like when he won it in 14 and Neuer finished 3rd after winning the world cup

Or how Ribery finished 3rd after winning a treble.

Kev will get 3rd place at the very best if Belgium win the world cup. Joke of an award.

Again, should this 33 year old be exchanged for the 2 next best superstars at 19 and 27? That's the key question.

Messi and Ronaldo have for a long time been so much better than anyone else on the planet that it doesn't matter who wins the big trophies (unless its Ronaldos or Messis teams) as they are so much better anyway. But I think that they won't finish first and second this year and next year it will be a new winner.
